Italian D. Barbero's Panettone classico is made in the traditional way with dough beet. The dough is raised in a towel and kneaded three times a day, as the old recipe dictates.
The raw materials for the dough are all first-rate: wheat flour milled with millstones, peel from hand-picked and peeled Calabrian oranges, Madagascan vanilla, honey from bees pollinating acacia trees in Tuscan forests, unground sea salt and raisins from a special variety of grape grown in South Australia.
