The Spanish Finca la Barca olive oil has acquired its special, smoky aroma through the traditional Extremadura smoking method. Only first-class wood is used for smoking, and the oil is allowed to rest in the “smokehouse” for two weeks, from which the oil gets its smoky nuances.
Smoked olive oil, Finca la Barca, is made from the Arbequina variety. The smoking method it uses is traditional, from the “La Vera” region of Extremadura. To produce smoke, oak firewood is burned in the smokehouse.
During two weeks of smoking, the oil gives it its unique smoky aromas and a new dimension of flavors.
The production of smoked olive oil is limited to that producer. Each bottle is numbered and the bottle cap is sealed. Together with a suitable dispenser, this is the perfect and slightly more special gift for gourmets!
