Originally from Britain to the French coast of Brittany, the Quatre Quart is also known as the “Pound Cake” across the canal. Baked in real butter, this soft and tasty cake is especially great for breakfast, a moment of coffee or a snack. It’s like being created to be enjoyed with jam, honey, “milk jam,” or even confiture de lait. The cake can also be frozen well.

Simply a good cake, good for a breakfast treat or an afternoon tea / coffee! It would probably be suitable as a cake base if you cut thin slices, or just with ice cream, I haven't tried it yet.
