Description

Until a few years ago, the roses used in DeliDel's rose leaf jelly grew right around the manufacturing premises. Rose leaves were always collected by the plant's own gardener in May-June. After the gardener retired, the same shrubs were transferred to a nearby nursery, where the same roses always produce flowers for new crops. The special method of extracting the petals also preserves the petals themselves in the jelly, which brings a beautiful and intense color to the jelly.
As a partner in savory dishes, rose leaf jelly goes particularly well with chèvre frais, a cream of goat's milk, and duck or duck roast. In sweet contexts, rose petal jelly is very suitable for seasoning, for example, vanilla sauce and whipped cream, or for meringue cheesecake or put on a cottage.
