Lucien Georgelin's Red Fig Jam - Handcrafted from the South West of France. Rich in fruit (50 %), slowly cooked in a copper pot, without additives. Perfect for a cheese plate. 320 g.
Description
Lucien Georgelin is a family business in southwestern France that has been making fruit jams for over 40 years in the Marmande region. The house's hallmark is slow cooking in a large copper pot in the old-fashioned way (au chaudron), which gives the jams a deep, authentic taste and aroma.
This red fig jam is made with a high fruit content (50 %). It is less sweet than regular jam, and the red fig flavor comes through with a rich and subtle depth – sweet and slightly tart at the same time. There is just a little sugar and a splash of lemon juice to enhance the natural flavor of the fruit. No added flavoring, coloring or preservatives.
A classic partner for a cheese plate – especially good with blue cheeses and mature goat cheeses – but equally delicious on top of breakfast bread or as a filling for pastries. After opening, store in the refrigerator and enjoy within approximately 10 days. 320 g. Origin France.
